about me
Hi! I'm Molly, and I am a performer, artist, and teaching artist from Burbank, CA. I use they/them pronouns :) I am a trained vocalist with over eight years of professional experience in both music and theater. I trained in voice and vocal performance at NYU Tisch with Machan Taylor and Voice Lab LA with voice specialist Amy Chapman. As a vocalist, bassist, and keyboardist, I have toured and played professionally with indie artist Claud and my own band, Goblynne, opening for artists like Paramore, Phoebe Bridgers, and Boyish. I have taught privately for six years, and at School of Rock (LA and NYC), InterAct Theater Company, ArTES Arts High School, Campbell Hall High School, and SoCal Arts. I love to help adults and kids discover and build a personalized vocal and musical practice, whether professionally or simply as a form of creative expression <3
***
Lessons are lab-style, and rooted in the individual's music taste and personal goals. I primarily teach somatic vocal technique, with an emphasis on mind-body connection and vocal health. I also incorporate music theory and ear-training! For piano and bass guitar, I teach theory and technique, as well as improvisation, comping chords, and ear training.
I never liked traditional music lessons, and believe strongly in building an encouraging, supportive space for all forms of musical and vocal exploration, for students of all ages and experience levels. I hope that, through our work together, you discover how to sing, play, and create music that you love. <3
